Keyboards for Indic Languages

This is a presentation based on a paper written by Prof. Gihan Dias and G. Balachandran of University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. The paper first identifies the basic types of Indic keyboards; viz. consonant-vowel, typewriter and transliteration. Secondly this paper comprises case studies of the development of standard computer keyboards for Sinhala and Tamil Indic script languages used in Sri Lanka.
